Apartment No. 50 by Le Corbusier (Installation by ECAL Students)

Marseille · 2015

The "Appartement 50" in the Cité Radieuse, built by Le Corbusier, is widely known as a venue for design-relevant exhibitions.

The latest exhibition in Marseille showcases twenty objects by students of the Master's program in Product Design at ECAL Lausanne from July 4 to 19, 2015. Julie Bernard designed the ATLAS rug for this, which was custom-made by Ruckstuhl in close cooperation with the designer.

New Perspectives - A Custom-Made Rug for Le Corbusier's Cité Radieuse

The architecture of the apartment allows the carpet to be viewed from the mezzanine; the finely detailed carpet appears like an object hanging on the wall. It is also the long-standing affinity for design and architecture that makes the Langenthal carpet manufactory an ideal partner for the fast and creative implementation of object- and customer-specific design templates.
