Rosengart Museum Collection
The neoclassical building in the Empire style, constructed in 1924, is a valuable architectural monument. For many years, it housed the Swiss National Bank. The richly ornamented yet strictly structured freestanding building and especially the representative interiors of the former National Bank create an impressive whole. The collection consists of well over 200 works by 23 different artists of the so-called Classical Modernism. Among them are over 100 works by Paul Klee and around 50 works by Pablo Picasso. Other artists represented in the collection include (in alphabetical order) Bonnard, Braque, Cézanne, Chagall, Dufy, Kandinsky, Laurens, Léger, Marini, Matisse, Miró, Modigliani, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, Rouault, Seurat, Signac, Soutine, Utrillo, and Vuillard.

For the redesign of the Rosengart Collection in Lucerne, one of the largest custom-fitted carpets Ruckstuhl has ever delivered was installed in one of the museum's main rooms: the size of the custom-made carpet is an impressive 106 m2! At the same time, the Jaipur product was also used in other areas of the museum, such as the staircase.
For the Rosengart Collection, the renowned Basel architectural firm Diener & Diener chose Ruckstuhl's Calicut quality because, on the one hand, the sound problem could be solved easily and without structural changes. On the other hand, the carpet perfectly complements the spatial conditions due to its unique material aesthetics. Finally, Ruckstuhl's technical expertise in precisely manufacturing and delivering a carpet of this size was convincing.
