Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer

Amsterdam · 2006

Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer is one of the leading international law firms. Over 2,000 lawyers in more than 20 offices worldwide offer services in all areas of business law. In 2006, the Netherlands office moved into its new premises in Amsterdam, near the Amsterdam World Trade Center.

David Chipperfield Architects redesigned the existing building to meet the needs of the law firm. The spaces are intended to have a constructive effect on both the lawyers and the clients, balancing discretion and professionalism. The interiors, with custom-made furniture, radiate calm and trust.

The interior is dominated by the colors yellow, orange, and red; the mottled beige tone of the carpet fits perfectly into this concept. Almost 6,000 m2 of FLATWOOL quality was laid in the offices and meeting rooms. The understated texture and subdued volume of this textile flooring complete the refined atmosphere.
