Trix (*1933) and Robert Haussmann (*1931; †2021) are among the defining figures of the Swiss architecture and design scene. Through their Manierismo Critico - the critical questioning of the familiar - they challenged conventions in design and architecture with playful seriousness and subtle humor, leaving a lasting mark. Their work plays with perception, surprises, and challenges the senses.
In close collaboration with Trix Haussmann and EDITION-H*, we have now translated these works into the new COLLECTION TRIX & ROBERT HAUSSMANN by Ruckstuhl. The designs were personally curated by her to authentically preserve the creative principles and depth of this visionary duo and make them accessible in a new way.
* EDITION-H was founded to make the design work of Trix & Robert Haussmann visible and available again. Since 2025, EDITION-H has managed the copyrights and usage rights to the Swiss architect couple's design work and, together with renowned manufacturers, has initiated new editions of their furniture, textiles, and objects. The Collection Trix & Robert Haussmann by Ruckstuhl is one of the first editions to emerge from this initiative.
