Animal hair is one of the oldest functional fiber materials in human history. Nomadic cultures already used goat and horse hair for durable fabrics, protective textiles, and floor coverings. Due to their exceptional durability, animal hairs have always been considered materials for particularly resilient applications.

Ruckstuhl processes hair yarns from a carefully balanced blend of goat and horse hair (often called "horsehair"). The combination unites robustness with elasticity and gives carpets a distinctive, textured surface. Unlike smooth materials, it creates a textile depth that almost resembles woven fabrics.

In interiors, horsehair and goat hair convey a calm, refined, and subtly elegant atmosphere. Especially in representative spaces—such as executive offices, hospitality areas, or high-end living rooms—the material reveals its special effect.
