Like being tossed into the air in a game, a delicately flowing black-and-white striped silk chiffon scarf unfolds the idea from which Trix and Robert Haussmann drew their iconic pleated design STRIPE – a motif that has run like a red thread through their diverse work since the early 1980s.

The extensive and multifaceted archive of Trix and Robert Haussmann – rich in previously unpublished sketches and designs – forms the basis of the TRIX & ROBERT HAUSSMANN COLLECTION by Ruckstuhl. Developed in close collaboration with Trix Haussmann at the beginning of this year, the collection aims to bring the aesthetic principles and creative intentions of the visionary duo to life in their depth and originality.

Ruckstuhl combines this piece of Swiss design history with forward-looking material innovation: The COLLECTION TRIX & ROBERT HAUSSMANN is the world’s first carpet collection whose surface layer is made of 60% recycled wool – sourced from no longer worn garments (post-consumer material, such as high-quality winter coats) from the Zurich startup CIRCULAR LIVING AG.
