Under the title WIEDER SPIEGELN, a staging unfolds here that celebrates the new rug collection from Ruckstuhl. A collection that makes designs by the Swiss architect and designer couple Trix and Robert Haussmann accessible again as rugs. This includes both icons and previously unpublished works. As pedestrians pass through the main station passage, a special highlight opens up: through an archway, the view falls on a column stump from the Lehrstück series by Trix and Robert Haussmann, fanned out with reflective floors and thus transformed into a sculptural presentation object. It serves as both an introduction and an invitation to enter the space. Inside, a square hall opens up. Eight round mirrors are arranged in a circle and frame the rug Stripes (1984). On a pedestal, it unfolds its illusionistic black-and-white pattern, which looks like a folded cloth. The mirrors pick up a central design element of the Haussmanns: they multiply the motif, reflect it in a figurative sense, and at the same time mirror the historic architecture of the station. Those who sit on the rug or lie in the center experience a kaleidoscopic effect that intertwines space and object anew. The installation also shows that the long-standing work of Bureau Hindermann with mirrors in space has its origin in the work of the Haussmanns. Behind the staging shimmers the Spacegrid Edition 2025: a 2.5 × 2.5 meter wall tapestry with mirror inlays. Bureau Hindermann thus reinterprets a 1986 design for the Hotel Atlantis for the Werkverlag Edition-H.
