Atlantis

The series ATLANTIS builds on the work of Trix and Robert Haussmann for the Atlantis Hotel in Zurich. In 1986, they redesigned the reception area of the house, which opened in 1970 – with furniture and a rug.

ATLANTIS Steps is based on this original design. ATLANTIS Cubes and ATLANTIS Spacegrid are previously unseen designs.

Ruckstuhl combines this seemingly lost piece of Swiss architectural history with forward-looking material innovation: The COLLECTION TRIX & ROBERT HAUSSMANN is the world’s first rug collection whose surface layer is made of 60% recycled wool – sourced from no longer worn garments (post-consumer material, such as high-quality winter coats).
