Coir

The hard-wearing all-rounder made from the fiber coating of the coconut.

The coir fibers come from the protective coat that surrounds the coconut. This material has unbelievable properties. The machine spun, long pile yarn is not only exceptionally resistant to wear and weather, but also antibacterial and self-cleaning as well. It’s not surprising that it is a popular choice for entrance areas, as it is also impervious to water.

Facts and figures

  • Coir fibers come from the husk surrounding the coconout.
