The Ruckstuhl Manufactory

The red Ruckstuhl factory in the south of Langenthal, in the centre of Switzerland, can be recognised from afar. In a place steeped in history, where noble porcelain cells were once fired, first-class carpets are now produced.

Just as colourful as our building shines from the outside, so colourful and diverse is our world of structures and surfaces inside our manufactory. It is the heart, the place where we create carpets together with the utmost meticulousness.

We have never developed expansive market strategies for this vocation. Rather, we have set ourselves the goal of not growing too big, so that we only ever need to do what we are personally convinced of. Anyone who now thinks we live in a green paradise of carpet weavers is of course thinking wrong. At Ruckstuhl, as in any community filled with life, things are sometimes colourful in terms of individuality, temperament and ideas of happiness. There are only two things we don't argue about: Good taste and the superiority of natural fibres in carpets.
